About

Eugene Bel, PhD, LMHC, BDiv, CHC, MBACP

Eugene specializes in integrating a mix of training techniques in non-religious spirituality, mindfulness, health coaching, personal life experience, and mind-body counseling. He’s striving to help clients to overcome their struggles and then create change in their lives, in order to help them fulfill their top potential. He has this belief that gaining insight into one’s own self is key to flourishing self-actualization and mental health.

Eugene employs approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), non-religious transpersonal/spirituality, and mindfulness, in accordance to the unique needs of his clients. In addition, he offers a compassionate reverence and presence to the innate wisdom held within all of us.

He is offering an international multicultural perspective, having lived in Ukraine, the US, and England.

What Makes My Approach Different?

My approach is different in that it extends beyond the confines of traditional counseling/psychotherapy.  Depending on the client, I like to use an integrative approach that combines talk therapy with things like EMDR, CBT, Health and Wellness Coaching, Mindfulness/Awareness, and Non-Religious Spirituality/Transpersonal.  I believe that this can provide a much more holistic approach to wellness in mind, body, and spirit.

In addition, I offer a more modern approach that is more about genuine human connection, as opposed to one that is more cold and clinical.  I view clients as fellow human beings, not “clinical cases”.  I welcome all kinds of people and do not by any means automatically pathologize clients for being “different”.  I am allied with communities such as open relationships, sex workers, asexual, single by choice, polyamorous, and LGBTQ, as just some examples.

Client Testimonials

“I worked with Eugene for several months, utilizing an Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP) approach in therapy. He helped me tremendously in combating my OCD and anxious thoughts, and he always cultivated a safe space during our sessions. Our conversations anchored me and helped me learn more about myself, and I am grateful to Eugene for this. I recommend him without reservation.”
