Services

I usually work with clients using one or a combination of the below approaches:

Eugene Belilovsky, PhD, LMHC, BDiv, CHC, MBACP

About

One of my specialties is integrating a combination of training in mental health counseling, concepts from health coaching, personal life experience, mindfulness/awareness, and non-religious spirituality/transpersonal. I strive to help clients overcome their struggles and create change in their lives, in order to help them move towards their highest potential. I believe that gaining insight into one’s self is key to flourishing mental health and self-actualization.

I employ approaches such as CBT (Including Exposure and Response Prevention), EMDR, talk therapy, mindfulness/awareness, and non-religious spirituality/transpersonal, according to the unique needs of my clients. In addition, I offer a compassionate presence and reverence to the innate wisdom held within each of us.

I offer an international multicultural perspective, having lived in Ukraine, the US, and England, and one of my areas of interest is working with expats and digital nomads. Finally, I welcome and am allied with communities such as LGBTQ, polyamorous, single by choice, asexual, sex workers, and open relationship, as just some examples.

What Makes My Approach Different?

One of the things that makes my approach different is that it extends beyond the confines of traditional counseling/psychotherapy. Depending on the client, I like to use an integrative approach that may combine things like talk therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), concepts from health coaching, mindfulness/awareness, and non-religious spirituality/transpersonal. I believe that this can provide a much more holistic approach.

In addition, I offer a more modern approach that is more about genuine human connection, as opposed to one that is more cold and clinical. I view clients as fellow human beings, not “clinical cases” etc.. I welcome all kinds of people and do not by any means automatically pathologize clients for being “different”. I welcome and am allied with communities such as LGBTQ, polyamorous, single by choice, sex workers, and asexual, as just some examples. I also offer an international multicultural perspective, having lived in Ukraine, the US, and England, and one of my areas of interest is working with expats and digital nomads.

Client Testimonials

“I worked with Eugene for several months, utilizing an Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP) approach in therapy. He helped me tremendously in combating my OCD and anxious thoughts, and he always cultivated a safe space during our sessions. Our conversations anchored me and helped me learn more about myself, and I am grateful to Eugene for this. I recommend him without reservation.”
