FAQs

The first step would be to request a free 15 minute consultation.  In that consultation, I will ask you to tell me a little bit about yourself and what you are seeking help with.  In addition, I will tell you more about my approach in working with clients. If we both feel it is a good fit, we would discuss next steps such as scheduling a full intake session and starting the intake process through SimplePractice.

For out-of-pocket clients, each session is $150 (Approximately 50 minute session).  A sliding scale option is possible in certain cases. Also, if you have an insurance plan that reimburses for out-of-network, I can provide you with a superbill to submit to them for potential reimbursement. In addition, if you would like to do a longer or shorter session than the standard (approximately) 50 minutes, this would be possible as well.  This would be available on a prorated basis.

For insurance clients, the cost per session is something we would discuss because there may be various factors involved such as co-pay etc.

A sliding scale option is possible in certain cases.

The only insurance for which I am currently taking new clients is United Healthcare.

I generally only work with clients online, through the HIPAA compliant version of Zoom. Phone sessions are also possible, if the client prefers.  I may be able to do an occasional in-person session, depending upon location.

Potentially.  It depends on whether you have an insurance plan that reimburses for out-of-network. You may need to call your insurance to get more information about this.  I can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.  Please feel free to let me know if you have any further questions about this.
